Best kept secret.

This is used in many products for hair, skin and nails to give it a smooth consistency and promote moisture but rarely gets recognized for the amount of work it does. All you need to do is add a little more to you favorite lotions and potions to boost their effectiveness for getting rid of dry skin and giving you a healthy glow.

For a super boost in moisture and to get rid of dry skin quicker, add this to natural Shea Butter and use anywhere. In your hair, on you lips, body and feet. You will thank me later đŸ™‚

Even with this great treatment, to treat dry skin, it is important to identify the root of the problem. It is also important to identify habits that cause your skin to remain ashy and lackluster.

Here are 4 other steps to boost skin moisture and treat dry skin :

  1. Switch from drying bar soaps to moisturizing body-wash.

Most bar soap strips skin of its natural moisture barrier and  dries up skin oils. The only bar soap proven to gently cleanse without stripping the acid mantle is Dove. (I lovvvvveeee Dove)

2. Exfoliate skin often.

Whether it is your lips, elbows, knees or feet exfoliation is very important. Use a scrub with replenishing ingredients like avocado and and natural oils that replace lost moisture and natural oils. When you exfoliate regularly, your skin is able to rebuild and better able to hold in moisture. it also starts a chain reaction, feeding cells which allow them to produce more collagen, elastin and most importantly hyaluronic acid which fight off the effects of dry.

3. Take short baths in lukewarm water.

Long hot showers definite dry out skin an encourages loss in moisture, leaving it dry and itchy.

4. Moisturize while damp.

This allows the oils and ingredients in your lotion to trap in moisture making it super hydrated fro a longer time.
